What to Wear
We ask that you pick 4 of the following categories and bring an outfit in that style.
- Casual
- Business casual
- Sporty
- Dressy
- Lingerie/swimwear
- Vintage/cosplay
Please bring what you think looks good on you, and what you are comfortable wearing.
Clothing can easily date your pictures so keep this in mind. For that reason, we often suggest simple clothing with a timeless cut and style. Jeans can be timeless and casual. Darker clothing recedes in the image and can appear slimming. Bold patterns and bright colors can detract from a portrait, but if it’s your style you may want to consider pairing bold patterns with solids.
Comfort Counts
Choose the clothing you love to wear, and that accentuates your individual personality. Consider that you might be sitting or leaning in different poses. You want to wear something that you feel very comfortable in and that will cover any areas you do not want to show in the images.

Not Sure What to Wear During your Photo Shoot?
Here are a few tips to help you look your best!
Shoes
Coordinate your shoes with the style of your overall look: formal-casual and that they match your chosen color palette. You can shoot barefoot if you prefer.
Nails
Make sure your nails are camera-ready.
Accessorize
Sunglasses, jewelry, scarves, hats, bows, bow ties… can all add a little ‘fun’ to your timeless style. Accessories are also a great way to coordinate looks, and props can help express your unique personality.
Layering
Layers provide more visual interest and will also allow more variety in your shots and poses. Layering also lets you easily and quickly vary your look. simply add a sweater, jacket or hat and you have an entirely different look.
Extras
You can bring some extra clothing options just in case. A brush, hair spray, lipstick, eyeliner, and eye shadow, and powder are always great for last-minute touch-ups.
Backgrounds
We have a set of backgrounds we typically use in a variety of colors and styles. For the best pictures possible, please choose your outfits with these in mind. The first background (gray) is used for the video.

Please come on time.
Make sure you plan your travel time. You short will normally be one hour, so come made up in your first outfit if possible.
What Will You Receive?
We will send you both a selection of photos with some minor editing and a short video introduction. We will also add you to our portfolio page that we use for our clients’ advertising needs.
What happens after the session?
We will view your images and select the best for your portfolio. We will do some basic editing for light and color, along with some cropping. We will also produce a video for your portfolio. When will my images be ready? Images are usually ready between 7-10 days after your photo session. They will be sent through wetransfer.com, and you have 7 days to download them from the time they are sent.
Video Introductions
We will shoot a short 30-40 second video of you so you can introduce yourself, mention your experience, and let potential clients know what subject matter you like to model for (business, athletic, fashion, etc).
